Description
USB-C Power Plate (Sony FX5, Gold Mount, Rod Mounted) attaches to two 15mm LW rods and can be positioned vertically or horizontally by repositioning the clamp and two screws.
The USB-C Power Plate is an intelligent power distribution module that powers the camera using a USB-C Multi-Voltage output capable of 5, 9, 12, 15, and 20V. When the FX5 is connected, it receives 9V, and the camera's internal NP-SA100 battery charges.
When the REMOTE cable is installed in the camera's lower USB-C port, ARRI standard triggering over 3pin Fischers is possible.
Accessory power outputs include 2x D-Taps, 1x 3pin Fischer, and 1x 2pin LEMO-compatible connectors.
With the SMART FUSE design, camera power is monitored, and the remaining power budget is allocated to accessories. For example, the FX5 uses approximately 1.0A at 14V, so when using a 10A capable battery, the remaining 9.0A is allocated for accessory use. If an accessory configuration exceeds the 9.0A limit, accessory power is cut off, leaving the camera powered. The "SMART FUSE" LED will illuminate to show the error. Once the accessory configuration is adjusted to below 9.0A, press the RESET button to re-enable power to the accessory outputs.
In the event of a complete short circuit, the system will immediately shut down and can only be turned back on once the short circuit has been removed.
